Shimano Trevala Rods Review
The Facts: The Shimano Trevala line first broke the market to be used with the Shimano butterfly jigging system. Anglers quickly realized that the TC4 construction was the next generation of fishing rods. The rod gives you extreme pulling power that you would expect from TC4 construction, but is very lightweight and sensitive. This allows anglers to land big fish faster. The Trevala line is available in spinning and casting models. Each rod is equipped with Fuji New Concept SIC Guides, Black Diamond Foregrim, Guji Reel Seat On Spinning Rod. There is a limited lifetime warranty available through Shimano.

You will not find a better rod available on the market at this price. Even a custom rod for $500 won't do the job this rod will. I have the 50-100lb spinning rod paired with a Cabo Quantum and 50lb Shimano Sufix Performance. I have whooped 170lb tarpon in less than 30 minutes on this combo when any other rod would of taken me over an hour. This allows to release the fish quicker and healthier. The rod and reel is light enough to do some casting with, but also heavy enough to throw big live baits into docks or sight fish to big fish offshore. I see they came out with a newer model that has a different butt. You can bet your ass that I will be getting another one of these rods. The TC4 construction is highly underrated and unknown in my community. I can see shimano corning this market once people realize the potential of this construction.
