Nice Reel for Sure..., Mar 14, 2005

I've had the Daiwa Laguna 1500 size reel for just over a year and have enjoyed it. The drag is very smooth, probably this reel's best feature. The price is about right for what you get, I wouldn't say its a deal for the price as comparable reels from Okuma or Shimano offer similar performance for a similar or even cheaper price tag. The 1500 size reel fishes 4lb the best, 3lb at the lightest.

Another great Daiwa spinning reel. I use this for both freshwater and saltwater...! For those looking for something a little nicer than the Samurai, but don't wanna go near the $100 plus dollar Capricorn range...
